CO Weather… Like A Box Of Chocolates, You Never Know What You’re Going to Get

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

If you are thinking about moving or relocating your business to the state of Colorado, there is one thing we must warn you about, the weather! Most people assume that Colorado is always snowing and freezing cold, however this is far from the truth (except for today of course). Unlike many states, Colorado does have four seasons. It may come as a surprise but Colorado has over 300 days of sunshine but that does not mean that is does not and will not get cold, in fact, we have weather that even the weather forecasters  have a hard time predicting. One day will be beautiful blue skies and the next will be a winter storm warning with school closures, take this last week for example. If you are moving to Colorado, we warn you to prepare yourself for all occasions because you will probably experience all four seasons in just one week. Rest assured that the people of Colorado seem to always find ways to enjoy their days outside whether it is hot or cold. However, moving in the hot heat or snowy conditions may not sound like a fun idea, but that’s where we come in. Let us help your transition by being the movers you turn to when moving to Colorado. Not only will we help move you into your new home, we’ll help you ease into the idea of the ever changing weather patterns. So we wanted to warn you of the weather in Colorado, to say the least, our weather patterns are unpredictable and keep you on your toes but that is what keeps Colorado an active place and don’t worry, we have outdoor activities for any weather occasion that may come as a surprise.

Sunday, October 4th, 2009

When you are relocating to a different state, or even city, you often feel lost and have a hard time getting around for the first few months. Whether you’re moving to Fort Collins, Greeley, Windsor, Loveland, Wellington or Johnstown; you’re moving into Northern CO. Living in Northern Colorado is an amazing experience, and if you paid attention to Money Magazines Best Places to Live; Fort Collins took 2nd place in 2008. Here are a few things to know about your new home town:

Outdoor Activities

Northern Colorado has great outdoor activities. Whether you are wanting to go for a hike, try out white water rafting, Frisbee golf with friends, take a cross country bike trip or just have a picnic in the park; you can count on finding them all at your finger tips on Northern CO. And with over 300 days of sunshine, it’s most likely going to be a beautiful day.

Check out Trails.com to find local hiking trails and campgrounds. You can also check with the city’s Chamber of Commerce for maps and guides. Check out Rocky Mountain Adventures for White Water Rafting and Rolling Spokes Bike Tours to see if there are any local bike tours in your area.

Breweries

Fort Collins has 5…count em 5, amazing breweries all within a few miles of each other. The most popular, New Belgium Brewery, is a hot spot for tourist and newcomers to CO. But don’t stop there; be sure to check out Odell’s Brewery, Fort Collins Brewery, Coopersmith’s Pub and Brewery. Anheiser Busch is also close, but doesn’t have the local feel that the other 4 breweries have.

Road Trip!

Moving to Northern CO means you get to be around beautiful trees, mountains and flowers all the time. Getting in the car and taking a trip up to Estes Park is a MUST! The drive and the canyon will blow you away. Also be sure to go up the Poudre Canyon for another breath taking view. Colorado is extremely beautiful, so be sure to get out there and see what you now call home. You’ll feel lucky you live here.
