At Exodus, we are locally owned and locally involved. We support and work with many local businesses and know the importance of supporting people right in our own backyard. Even though we help people relocate from all over the world; whether they are moving to Northern Colorado or not, we still put a heavy focus on being involved with local non-profits, going to events and festivals, and promoting the businesses and charities we work with. A way that you can get your business or office involved is through BALLE – Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, which is a national organization whose mission is to catalyze, strengthen, and connect local business networks dedicated to building strong Local Living Economies. BALLE has over 70 active networks across the US and Canada. To learn more visit www.livingeconomies.org
Another great way is just by riding your bike down the street and shopping at the farmers market, buying your clothes from a local retailer and having dinner at a community restaurant. Supporting the business down the street builds our local economies, which is vital to overcoming the economic downturn. The small mom and pop shops are closing faster than you can imagine because they cannot compete with the big box stores. Try to think of alternatives within your community to support businesses that are locally owned and operated.

More and more people are finding the need to have extra storage space, more than their homes or garage space can provide. There are different kinds of storage units that are offered but climate controlled storage units have many perks and advantages that make it well worth any extra costs. When you do become interested in receiving information on climate controlled storage
units, make sure you are aware of what is considered the moving companies regulations of climate control and exactly what that means for your belongings. One of the advantages of climate controlled storage units is its resistance to harsh weather. Rain and snow cannot penetrate the roof and they are built above sea level.
Here at Exodus, we load weatherproof containers at your location and then they are kept in our secured and monitored storage lot, located directly behind our warehouse. We store them with us until you are ready for delivery. Even though our beautiful state of Colorado experiences extreme weather conditions, don’t be too surprised to know that there is a lack of climate controlled storage options from most movers in Northern Colorado. However, here as Exodus, we offer three options for clean, safe and secure storage: Climate Controlled Vaults; 20’ Ocean Containers; and 48’ Trailers. Any combination of these three types of storage containers can be used to meet your needs. So whether you are located in Loveland, Windsor, Greeley, Boulder, Wellington or Fort Collins, and no matter what your situation, can find an appropriate storage solution for you.

You may or may not have known that several years ago; Exodus purchased Brian’s Moving & Storage located in Loveland, Colorado. Along with this, we purchased the name of “Brian’s Moving & Storage” in order to keep many of our old Brian’s customers who may still be looking for Brian’s Moving & Storage in the phone book. So in order to stay in contact with our loyal customers, we’ve kept the listing. However, when we answer “Exodus” we explain that in order to better serve all of our customers, we merged into one location in south Fort Collins. Our old address when we were Brian’s Moving was 825 E. 11th Street in Loveland. Just like you, we packed up our belongings and moved right up the street to 1800 E Harmony Rd., Fort Collins, CO where we are now permanently located. Our customers are important to us and no matter what name we are listed as, we will always put you first. We have earned the name as one of the most well-reputed, successful moving companies in Colorado and the top mover in Northern Colorado and we will continue to bring you Peace of Mind, All in One Piece.

Since we’re based in Fort Collins, CO we know a thing or two about our neighbor city that is just down I-25 from us. If you’re moving to Denver, or are considering moving to Denver, here are a few things to help and a few things to do while you’re there.
Planted at the base of the Rocky Mountains, one mile high in the Colorado sky, Denver’s access to the good life can’t be denied. According to The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED), Metro Denver has a population of 2.7 million people, with a growth rate that has consistently outpaced the national rate every decade since the 1930s.
You’ll find that Denver is growing, and is also a very active city. With the mountains, hiking trails, bike trails, rivers, lakes and sports arenas so close, it’s almost impossible not to get physical! And, with over 300 days of sunshine, it’s hard to sit inside and let a beautiful Denver day go to waste. Be ready to be outside!
Downtown Denver has a lot of amazing restaurants, night clubs and retail stores. With the mountains about 45 minutes away, you’ll find that you have a lot of options of things to do. It’s hard to get bored in this city. And, Fort Collins is about 40 miles north of the city, so make sure you come up and check out what we have to offer. Voted Best Place to Live by Money Magazine, you can’t go wrong in Fort Collins, CO.
If you need help with your move to Denver, please contact us we’d be more than happy to help.

Depending on how many times you’ve moved, what your timeline is, and what the situation of the move is about; you might be rushed or not thinking clearly while moving. You might just feel like everything needs a box and get it in the truck. However, there are a few items that need to be left out, and moved last. For a friendly reminder, see our list below:
Cleaning Supplies – If you aren’t cleaning the old place, then you might not need to worry about this, but you might want to label cleaning supplies and have it on hand for the new place (depending on its situation when you arrive). If you do need to clean the place, remember to leave cleaning supplies and towels, paper towels, etc., out so you don’t have to dig through boxes or buy new ones.
Tools – There might be some nails in the wall from wall art, or a few things that need to be fixed before you say your final goodbye to your old home. Make sure your tools are on hand, just in case.
Snacks – Moving is physically tolling on the body, and can be a great workout. Since you’re moving all of your belongings, including your food, remember to keep a few snack items available in case you get hungry. There’s nothing worse than feeling hunger pains and experience low energy levels, but you can’t leave during the move.
Toys – If you have kids, you might want to keep a few toys out to keep them occupied if they can’t help you move boxes. Keep them busy so they are happy during the moving, especially since a move can be emotionally taxing on a child.
If you keep these items out and plan for your move, it should be successful! If we can help in any way, please contact us.

Accessorial Services/Additional Services – services such as packing, unpacking, extra stop, or shuttle that you request to be performed, or are necessary because of landlord requirements or other special circumstances. Charges for these services are in addition to the transportation costs.
Diversion – when a customer changes the destination of their shipment after it is en route, transportation charges shall be calculated from the point of origin, to the point at which the carrier is able to effect the diversion, plus the transportation charge from the diversion point to the new destination point.
Extra Labor – This is just as it sounds. Hourly labor charges usually a 15 minute minimum, for performing any requested services for which specific fees are not published. This generally covers activities such as removing and placing items in attics and crawlspaces, packing and unpacking owner’s furnished containers, etc.
High-Value Article Inventory Form – the carrier will have you fill out a high-value inventory form to list items included in a shipment that are valued around $100 per pound or more, to ensure they are protected accordingly.
Inventory – a detailed descriptive list of the items in the shipment and their condition before the van is loaded.
